This Privacy Policy describes how Baretong (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using Baretong, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

a) Username

You may optionally provide a username to appear on the leaderboard. This is the only personally identifiable information we collect, and it is entirely optional.

b) Game Data

We collect gameplay statistics including scores, streaks, tier counts, and game mode. This data is used for leaderboards and player statistics.

c) Anonymous Authentication

We use Supabase anonymous authentication to identify your device session. No email, password, or personal account information is required or collected.

d) Local Storage

We store game preferences, scores, and settings locally on your device using shared preferences. This data never leaves your device unless you participate in the leaderboard.

e) Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display ads. Google may collect and use data for personalized advertising, including device identifiers and usage data. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Display your username and scores on the public leaderboard
  • Track your personal game statistics
  • Display advertisements through Google AdMob
  • Improve gameplay experience

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • Google AdMob: May collect device and usage data for advertising purposes
  • Supabase: Stores your username and game scores for the leaderboard feature

5. Data Retention

  • Local data is stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data
  • Leaderboard data (username and scores) is stored on our servers indefinitely and can be deleted upon request

6. Children's Privacy

Baretong does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is a math game suitable for all ages. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

You may:

  • Choose not to provide a username (leaderboard participation is optional)
  • Opt out of personalized ads through your device settings
  • Request deletion of your leaderboard data by contacting us
  • Clear local data by uninstalling the app

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
